Clos de Caveau olive oil comes from around a hundred olive trees that are dotted across the estate. The oil is of course organic even though we don’t pay to have it certified: the trees haven’t seen a drop of chemicals in their entire lives.

Each tree plays a vital role in the abundant biodiversity of the Clos: their branches offer a sanctuary to the diverse range of birds who live in the valley, their shade offers a habitat to wild plants, and their roots create a home for the many insects and fungi living in the soil beneath them. These trees are a gift to the ecosystem of the Clos, and are a wonderful gift to us too!
