'Dark fruited, deep and soft, and the texture is velvety. An enjoyably structured and tannic style of Vacqueyras, it's brooding and powerful but has good acidity. There's a lot in this wine, concentrated dark, ripe fruit; tannins; zingy acidity. All leads to a long finish. Very good for the vintage. Limestone soils, all destemmed, indigenous yeasts and a very long, 50-day infusion. 94/100.'
