Champvermeil 2017 : 92/100 – Decanter

« Grown on sandy clay soils, this is hand-harvested, destemmed and fermented with indigenous yeasts, then matured in large wooden vats for 10 months. It has scents of strawberry, liquorice and herbal bitters, with generous fruit and real transparent clarity of the juice in the mouth. Tangy acidity and very fine but ample tannins brush your lips. The finish is long and pure, and although it's not complex, this has a lovely sense of drinkability. 92/100. »
