Some tobacco spice and deep dense dark fruit - something almost liquorice-like.

The nose is dominated by oak at the moment but is supported by dark brooding fruits.

Raspberry fruits and a waxy note underneath.

Sample a little tired on the nose. But good plump fruit on the palate and then a bit austere.

Dark purplish crimson. Some Syrah in evidence (40% of the blend, with Grenache).

Mouth-puckering tannins but they will integrate with time and there is good fresh fruit beneath it.

The tannins are tight and very dominant and below there is attractive fruit. Very introverted, currently.

Slight sickly quality to the fruit on the nose, although the palate is more conventionally ripe.

Some ripeness of fruit, red and dark fruits. The palate is layered with a chalky feel throughout. Very appealing and while being ripe and rich has a certain delicacy as well.

The nose is quite restrained but elegant with floral elements and crushed-raspberry notes. The palate is tight and has tense, delineated fine tannins. Good fruit weight here with spice, cranberry and pepper. Lovely tension and freshness; balanced and fine.
